Abstract

The letter introduces the Psi Dynamics Research Unit (PDRU), a methodological initiative within the SPR’s Spontaneous Cases Committee aimed at improving the structuring and analysis of spontaneous case material without altering existing SCC investigative practice. It outlines three core aims: standardised capture of case contacts, integrated analysis of investigated cases, and preparation for large-scale cross-case pattern analysis. These aims are supported by a generative-AI tool, SPiDER-X, used solely for procedural, non-interpretive data handling. The letter invites feedback from SPR members on the methodological, archival, and digital aspects of the project as it develops.
